Biography
Patricia Jordan currently resides in Nashville, TN, and graduated from Watkins College of Art & Design in 2004 with a BFA in fine arts, concentrating in printmaking and painting. Patricia grew up in Billings, Montana, and in the mountains around Red Lodge, Montana where her family has had a cabin for fifty years. She lived for nineteen years in Helena, Montana where she worked as a government attorney and spent her spare time exploring the environs, and playing with color in quiltmaking and plein-air painting. After art school, Patricia and other friends cofounded Plate Tone Printshop, a cooperative fine art printmaking studio in Nashville, TN, see Platetone Printshop.
The Frame Hut & Gallery in Billings, Montana will feature several of Patricia’s encaustic works in a group show in November 2011. Her work will also be presented in a solo show at Renaissance Center in Dickson, TN, in March of 2012. She has exhibited in a solo show at the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center at Vanderbilt, Spring Semester, 2006; and has been represented in group shows at Twist Gallery, Plowhaus Gallery, Plate Tone Printshop, Secret Show Series, and Watkins College of Art & Design.
