Identity, Place, and Loss

A recent natural disaster jolted awareness of the importance of place to artist Patricia Jordan’s identity and prompted a new direction for her work. Focusing on the resilience and endurance of the land, she explores imagery of forest ecosystems, forest fires, geological forms, and topographical maps in mediums including encaustics, printmaking and fibers.
